Computer Engineering Department has organized “Google Applied CS with Android” workshop. Applied Computer Science with Android is a Google initiative to help university students understand and apply computer science concepts using the Android platform. The workshop revisits concepts from Data Structures and Algorithms, as well as Artificial Intelligence. We use Android as a platform for development because it’s modern, has an easy to use graphical interface. Students develop various puzzle game and application that use computer science concept.
Industrial visit was organized on 16/03/2016 for Semester 6 Computer Engineering Department at Vidhansabha,Gandhinagar And BSNL Regional Telecom Training Centre,Ahmedabad.
58 students actively participated in one day visit and attended the live session ofVidhansabha at Gandhinagar. After the session they visited BSNL RTTC where they acquired knowledge about importance of IPv6 and how it works in real-time, how multiplexing and demultiplexingis done in the BSNL network and knowledge about fiber optic and its advantages. Later they visit Telephone Museum which showcased all different types of telephones used so far in last few decades.
