As the uses of Remote Sensing, Geographical Information System, Global Navigation Satellite System and associated geospatial technologies are increasing rapidly, it has created an urgent demand of trained manpower.

IIRS  (Indian Institute of Remote Sensing) Outreach Programme focuses on strengthening the Academia and User Segments in Space Technology & Its Applications using Online Learning Platforms.

These programmes are enabled through Internet and A-view software platform developed by Amrita e-learning Lab in collaboration with (MHRD) Government of India. They are certified and free of COST programmes. They are conducted by experts of IIRS-ISRO, and other knowledge institutions.

IIRS has conducted 22 courses with 120258+ participants from 1048+ academic institutions, government departments and industry so far.

V.V.P. Engineering College, Rajkot has now become the Focal Center for ISRO IIRS Outreach Programmes since 25-6-2020 to acquire the benefits from these programmes for students as well as Faculties.

The details of the IIRS Outreach programmes conducted so far (V.V.P. Engineering College, Rajkot as being the Focal Center) as given as below:
