NSS

The National Service Scheme (NSS) Unit of V.V.P. Engineering College, Rajkot provides students with opportunities to participate in community service and develop a strong sense of social and civic responsibility. The unit promotes the NSS motto “Not Me But You” and focuses on the overall development of students through meaningful service activities.

The NSS Unit regularly organizes and participates in cleanliness drives, Swachhata Hi Seva activities, tree plantation, environmental awareness programmes, health and hygiene awareness, social awareness campaigns, community outreach activities and special NSS camps. Students actively contribute to activities related to cleanliness, environmental protection, public awareness, and community development.

NSS activities help students develop leadership, teamwork, communication, discipline, empathy and problem-solving skills while providing practical exposure to social and community issues. The unit encourages students to understand their responsibilities towards society and contribute towards sustainable and inclusive development.

The NSS Unit works under the guidance of the NSS Convener/Programme Officer, with active participation from committee members and student volunteers of the various department. Records of activities, participation, photographs, reports and outcomes are maintained for institutional documentation and continuous improvement.
