Sports is an integral part of the student’s life and in general. Sports relaxes mind and body. It gives immense pleasure. Sports is a recreational activity that enhances working efficiency of internal and external organs of a human body. It is a tool to enjoy stress free life.
V.V.P. Engineering College has a well-established sports culture. The department of sports @ V.V.P. is organizing the institute level tournaments twice a year that is once in a semester.
The institute has a fully furnished grounds of Cricket with a turf wicket, Basketball, Volleyball, Kabaddi and Kho-Kho along with all indoor game facilities like chess, carom, badminton and table tennis.
The students are participating in Chess, Badminton, Carom and Table Tennis in monsoon semester named as “Spirit Indoor” and they are enjoying a sports festival “Spirit Outdoor” in the month of January and February with the games like Cricket, Volleyball, Basketball and Kho-Kho.
The students are also participating in the GTU zonal and Inter-Zonal games and in the last three years only VVP has won more than 10 titles and more than 50 students have become a national player.

Major sports equipment available for students for effective utilization include Cricket Season Kit, Tennis Kit, Table Tennis Kit, Chess Boards, Carrom Boards, Volley Balls, Basket Balls, Badminton Rackets, etc. There are 2 Indoor Sports Rooms in the college where students can utilize the indoor sports equipments and enjoy their sport.
