Thermal Lab
Thermal lab of department is equipped with instruments like 4 stroke petrol and diesel engines with testing rig and different dynamometers. Along with concepts of different kind of boilers are taught on boiler scale models.
Refrigeration Lab
Refrigeration lab is having equipments like vapor compression refrigeration test rig, air conditioning test rig with humidification and heating controls, water chiller and evaporative cooler which covers most of the aspects of refrigeration concepts.
Mechanical Measurement and metrology lab
Mechanical Measurement and metrology lab is equipped with state of the art instruments like profile projector, furnace and electron microscope for sample testing.
Mechanical workshop
Mechanical workshop of Mechanical department is one of the most advanced workshops having machines like CNC turning centre, CNC vertical machining centre and several conventional machines like all geared lathe, cylindrical and surface grinder, universal drilling machine etc.
Research Lab
The most advanced lab is the research lab which is equipped with a 3D printer and a multiple axis Fanuc robot. Along with the lab runs dedicated auditing services for energy consumption and conservation for which an entire array of equipments are available.
Fluid Mechanics lab
Fluid Mechanics lab and FPE lab is one of the most dynamic laboratory in the department which is not only utilized for Mechanical students but also for civil branch students. FM lab of the department is equipped with Reynolds apparatus, Bernoullis apparatus, Losses in pipe friction apparatus and Venturimeter whereas Hydraulic machines comprises of pelton wheel turbine, Francis turbine, Reciprocating compressor and reciprocating and centrifugal pump.
Dynamics of machine
Dynamics of machine lab is well-equipped and enables students to understand the balancing of machine parts statically and dynamically which are further used to understand the dynamic behavior of moving objects.
Various equipment like governors, gyroscopes, whirling of shaft apparatus, balancing machines and universal vibration testing facilities are available to understand machine dynamics. The working models of simple mechanisms like gears, cams and followers, belt, chain & friction Drives are very much useful to understand Basic Mechanical Engineering subject for 1st year students.
Automobile lab
Automobile lab is equipped with model of gear box ,steering, brakes, clutches ,differential, parts of suspension. Experiments are based on mantling and dismantling of the components.
CMM Lab
CMM machine stands for Coordinate Measuring Machine. It is a tool that can measure the dimensions of a machine/tool parts using coordinate technology.
CNC
Computer Numerical Control-CNC turning is a computer-controlled industrial machining process that can produce parts of high quality and an extremely smooth finish. It’s best if you are looking to create fast and repeated symmetrical or cylindrical parts with a high production volume. CNC turning can achieve high precision and tight tolerances
VMC
Verticval Machining Centre-Vertical machining, which is also known as milling, uses rotary cutters to remove metal from a workpiece.
