Student Empowerment and Entrepreneurship Cell is startup center and an Entrepreneurship Development Center as a part of V.V.P. Engineering College, Rajkot. It also comprises of the activities and aids provided to students for their innovative startups in the form of grants through the Student Start-up Innovation Policy (SSIP). The goal of the SSIP Cell under SEEC is to provide sensitization of students regarding innovation and entrepreneurship, prototyping of ideas and innovation along with Intellectual Property Right (IPR), Patent filling, mentoring, Industrial Interactions etc.
The vision of SEEC is to spread awareness about the Entrepreneurship and motivate the students for their startups. The Student Empowerment and Entrepreneurship Cell spreads entrepreneurial practice through lectures, seminars, webinars, workshops, to seek tie-ups with Entrepreneurial organisations connecting students to global network of entrepreneurs and to provide Ecosystem for early stage entrepreneurs.
The main motto of SEEC is to provide proper resources and environment at the institute level for entrepreneurs.
The SEEC has signed Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with Government of Gujarat pioneered Student Startup & Innovation Policy (SSIP) for funding support to provide sensitization of students regarding innovation and entrepreneurship, prototyping of ideas and innovation along with Intellectual Property Right (IPR), Patent filling, mentoring, Industrial Interactions etc.
The SEEC has signed Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with Center for Entrepreneurship Development (CED), A Government of Gujarat Organization for Entrepreneurship Development Cell, Center for Entrepreneurship Development (ED Cell /CED) in order to provide support to students as knowledge partner for Business Counseling Cell (ED Cell/CED).
We have established Rural Entrepreneurship Development Cell (REDC) and becomes Member of National Rural Entrepreneurship Mission by Mahatma Gandhi National Council of Rural Education, Department of Higher Education, Ministry of Education, Government of India. The V.V.P. SEEC/REDC will provide support for Placement and Internship, Personality Development, Technology Development, Entrepreneurship and Rural Engagement.
2021-04-24 | Eklavya (Ideathon) 2021 | Eklavya (Ideathon) 2021 is organized on 24-04-2021 for VVP Engineering College students. Eklavya was organized on the theme of helping society with innovative idea during covid pandemic. |
2020-01-13 to 2020-01-28 | Entrepreneurship Development Program (EDP) | Entrepreneurship Development Program (Module-2) in collaboration with Centre for Entrepreneurship Development (CED). During these days, expert sessions are conducted likewise Micro lab and business opportunity by Mr. Nilesh Raval, Business Selection Criteria by Mr. Dharmendra Rajput, How to get financial support by Mr. M. Chandrani, Market Management by Mr. Kartik Pandya, Account and Financial Management by Mr. Manish Raval and Ms. Aprana Puranik, Business Ethics and Value of Gandhian Philosophy in Entrepreneurship by Mr. Meghrajsingh Jadeja, etc followed by an Industrial Visit. |
2018-12-27 to 2018-12-29 | Entrepreneur Awareness Camp (EAC) | A 3 days Entrepreneur Awareness Camp (EAC) in collaboration with National Science & Technology Entrepreneurship Development Board, Department of Science and Technology, Government of India, New Delhi (NSTEDB/DST/GoI). During these 3 days, expert session are conducted on Identification of Opportunity of entrepreneurs, how to start SSI Unit, Financial aspect of SSI Unit, Creativity in business, how to solve common problems faced by Entrepreneurs etc. |
2018-07-10 | VVP Hackathon | VVP Hackathon is declared on 11th January, 2018 and it is first time initiated by VVP Engineering College, Rajkot. This Hackathon was mainly organized to encourage innovation amongst students and to provide solution of some VVP college’s problems. Problems were divided in 3 categories like Implementation, Prototype and Idea. The Final Round of Hackathon 2018 was on 10th July, 2018. Total 41 problem statements were decided by the college which include all department’s problems and some general problems. On 10th July 2018, final round was declared. Before final round, registration verification was done to finalize entries. In the final round total 34 teams were selected who have given solution to 17 problems. |
