(1)4th Consecutive Time: Electrical Engineering Department has achieved 100% placements. In the year 2019. The major recruiters are Reliance Industries, Nirma Chemicals, Just Dial, Cognizant, Aartee Flow, J J PV Solar, Silver Motors, Ultracab, Hi-Tech Transformers, EPP Composites, SIMS Engineering

(2) Out of 74 students, 63 opted for job and 63 have been placed.

A Happy moment for the department to see students shining with outstanding achievements in their GTU winter 2019 is examinations. As chemical department tops among 24 chemical engineering departments of GTU, the faculty members and students celebrate each moment of their day with joy.

Heartiest congratulations to Jay Jobanputra and Nikhil Bhundiya who stood 3rd and 8th respectively in the GTU Merit list, branchwise.

May there be more such proud achievements each each year!! Congratulations to the faculty members of institute and the students for their wonderful achievement.

CHEMICAL ENGINEERING DEPARTMENT OF V.V.P TOPS THE 5TH SEMESTER GTU- WINTER 2018 EXAMINATIONS!!

This week is a week of celebration and a week to feel proud of our achievements as a department. With students scoring high in the GTU winter 2018 examinations and making a mark among 28 chemical departments of the state, their joyful smile has enlightened a spark of hope and happiness amongst the faculty members as well.

The department Ranking FIRST among all the Chemical Engineering Departments of GTU, V.V.P has set a standard for itself. Being known for the results that V.V.P achieves, this achievement is one more feather added in the cap.

5th semester students maintaining a constant learning attitude, and their belief in hardwork, with an enthusiasm for learning and the right attitude showcased each day has transformed into positive results.

Congratulations to the students and the faculty members for their constant guidance and selfless attitude of imparting knowledge.

“Cloud-O-Sphere’19” – A Workshop Organized by Information Technology Department

“Cloud-O-Sphere’19” – 4 Days Hands-on-Workshop on Microsoft Azure and Amazon Web Services

Information Technology Department has organized a 4 Days Hands-on-Workshop on Microsoft Azure and Amazon Web Services from 09th January to 12th January, 2019. The main objective of this workshop was to provide an environment to the students of 6th semester, where they can explore the practical approach to Cloud Technologies and how these technologies are being used and managed efficiently. The participants thereafter will have an intermediate knowledge of trending cloud technologies that will help them in their research and also they would be able to host and manage applications on Cloud.

The worskshop was conducted by Industry Experts having vast experience in the respective area. The details of the experts are as follows:
1. Mr. Romil Bheda – Microsoft Valued Partner and CTO at Getwings Technologies Pvt. Ltd., Ahmedabad
2. Mr. Romit Gadhiya – Founder and Director of Aisomex Consultancy Services Pvt. Ltd., Rajkot

NATIONAL MATHEMATICS DAY – Organized by Applied Science and Humanities Department

NATIONAL MATHEMATICS DAY (131st Birthday of Sir Srinivasa Ramanujan)

Dr. Manmohan Singh, Former Prime Minister of India has declared 22nd December as the National Mathematics Day during 125th birth anniversary celebration of Srinivasa Ramanujan held at Madras University.
There are various programs and activities which are scheduled to be organized on this day. UGC has directed all the colleges and universities to organize different activities to commemorate the day.The aim of the program are to boost the student’s interest in the field of mathematics.

Applied Sciences & Humanities Department of V. V. P. Engineering College celebrated 131st birth anniversary of Sir Srinivasa Ramanujan on 22.12.2018 by organizing a quiz competition of mathematics between 8:00 a.m. to 10:15 a.m. in the presence of faculties of Mathematics . There were a total of 131 participants from various departments.

The program started at 8a.m. and common instructions regarding the rules of the Quiz were given to the students. Then after the students were divided in two groups and sent to two different venues to participate in the first phase of the quiz.

PHASE:1

The 1st phase consist of five rounds which were based on topics like series and sequence, blood relation questions, problems based on alphabets, problems related to figures, puzzles and Ramanujan’s magic squares. Each round had fixed time limit to answer questions for each team, which made this very exciting and interesting for all students. At the end of five rounds, six teams were selected to move forward to the next round for the final show down.

PHASE :2

The finale was held at the P.D.C. auditotrium, there were six teams competing in it. This phase consists of three rounds which included different math aptitude questions and puzzles. The third round was a common Sudoku puzzle for all the six teams. The team which came up with the correct and fastest solution was declared winner.
The event ended by 10:05 AM, followed by declaration of the winner teams.

Participants for the day: All departments’ 4th semester students.

Entrepreneurship Awareness Camp 2018-19 program

V.V.P. Engineering College has organized 3 days workshop on Entrepreneurship on 27th to 29th Dec, 2018. This was Entrepreneurship Awareness Camp (EAC) under DST-NIMAT Project 2018-19 implemented by EDI, Ahmadabad, under the aegis of NSTED Board, DST-Government of India.

This workshop was organized for interested students of final year and pre final year from all branches.

In this program, inauguration was done with the motivated speech by Mr. Gaurangbhai Mehta, Vice President of Rajoo Engineering and our principal Dr. Jayesh Deshkar.

In 3-days workshop there were expert session of some renowned startup owners like Mr. Nikunj Vasoya – founder of Foodon Tv network, Mr. Dharmesh Vyas – founder of dhoomkharidi.com for an online book shop, Mr. Jay Samani – Director of Sportza and doing business and IT transformation, strategy formulation. Some entrepreneurship trainer like Mr. Paragbhai Kakaia – corporate trainer and business coach were invited. Some alumni running their own startup successfully are also invited. They are Mr. Shridhar Ghodasara running Connect earthing system, Mr. Anand Savalya running Atomberg technologies, Mr. Jatin Kataria running Glocol connector and Mr. Maulik Chauhan Chief Business strategist at Brand India Magazine.

There were 116 students have participated. All the participant got very good knowledge on all the aspect of business and startup. They are now highly motivated and determined to do their startup.

Students and faculties are thankful to the management and principal sir for their support in organizing this workshop.

To make this program successful, efforts have been done by committee member’s of SEEC Ms. Devangi Kotak, Mrs. Megha Karia, Dr. Dipesh Kamdar, Mr. Komil vora, Mr. Sharad Gajera, Mr. Priyank Khirsariya, Mr. Paresh Patel, Mr. Shreyas Dhuliya, Mr. Hardik Pandya, Mr. Pratik Aanandpara, Mr. Ravin Sardhara, Ms. Bansi Makadia, Mr. Prajit Patel, Ms. Kinjal Rokad  and student coordinator from all branches.
