7/23/2025Expert LectureOn the celebration of World Environment Day 2025, an awareness session on “Beat Plastic Pollution” was organized for Engineering students on 23rd July 2025 by Saurashtra Local Center, IEI Rajkot and Environmental Audit Cell, V.V.P. Engineering College, Rajkot. The session was delivered by Dr. Hitesh Ashani, Assistant Professor, V.V.P. Engineering College, Rajkot, to create awareness about plastic pollution and sustainable environmental practices.
05-08-2028 to 07-08-2025Skill Development ProgramAs a part of the Skill Development Program, activities for 5th and 7th semester Degree Engineering students were organized from 5th August 2025 to 7th August 2025 in the field of valuation. On 5th August 2025, an expert lecture on “Valuation in India” was organized to provide students with basic knowledge of valuation practices and procedures.

On 6th August 2025 and 7th August 2025, students were sent in groups of 5 to 7 members for hands-on training at various companies including Dhyey Associates, Aexocorp, Evalu8 Appraisal, Strucon Consultancy, and A K Appraisal. During the training, students gained practical exposure to valuation processes, property assessment methods, documentation, and professional practices followed in the industry.
9/15/2025Industriual visit An industrial visit was organized for 3rd, 5th, and 7th semester Degree Engineering students on 15th September 2025 at the Pride Aura private construction site, Rajkot. Students observed ongoing construction activities, structural work, safety practices, and site execution techniques, gaining practical exposure to real-time construction processes.
9/17/2025Industriual visit An industrial visit was organized for 3rd and 5th semester Degree Engineering students on 17th September 2025 at Venson Ready Mixed Concrete Plant. During the visit, students learned about the manufacturing process of ready mix concrete, batching operations, quality control measures, and material handling practices used in concrete production.
9/22/2025Expert LectureAn expert talk on “How to Prepare for GATE Exam” was organized on 22-09-2025 for 3rd, 5th, and 7th semester students. The session was delivered by Mr. Vijay Dholariya, esteemed alumnus of the 2013–17 batch. He shared valuable guidance and preparation strategies for cracking the GATE examination. Mr. Dholariya successfully cleared the GATE exam, completed his Master’s degree from National Institute of Technology Bhopal, and is currently working at JMC
9/24/2025Expert LectureA career guidance session on opportunities in the Government Sector after Civil Engineering was organized on 24-09-2025 for diploma and degree engineering students. The expert talk was delivered by Mr. Harshil Thakkar, Director of Websankul Civil Engineering. He guided students about various career paths, competitive examinations, and preparation strategies for government jobs. He also provided complimentary sample copies and study materials to the students.

The session was delivered by renowned structural engineer Mr. Manish Doshi. He shared his vast professional experience and highlighted the transformation of civil engineering practices from traditional methods to modern AI-based technologies. The session provided valuable insights into the evolution and future scope of the civil engineering field.
9/30/2025Expert LectureThe Civil Engineering Department organized an expert lecture for all semester Degree Engineering students on 30th September 2025 on the topic “Introduction to a Detailed Overview of P-Way Engineering on Indian Railways” by Shri S. R. Dube, Chief Project Manager (Gati Shakti), Western Railway. The session provided valuable insights into railway track engineering, maintenance practices, and recent advancements in Indian Railways.
14-10-2025 to 15-10-2025Industriual visit An industrial visit was organized for 5th and 7th semester Degree Engineering students on 14th and 15th October 2025 at Adani Port, Mundra. During the visit, students gained practical knowledge about port infrastructure, harbour planning, dock and berth facilities, cargo handling systems, marine transportation, and logistics management. The visit provided real-time exposure to large-scale port operations and modern transportation engineering practices.
1/7/2026Expert LectureAn expert lecture was organized for 4th and 6th semester Degree Civil Engineering students on 7th January 2026 on the topic “Attributes of an Entrepreneur” by Mr. Vishal Sarvaiya, Founder of Shree Vam Industries, Rajkot. The session guided students about entrepreneurial qualities, leadership skills, innovation, and opportunities in the industrial sector.
1/9/2026Skill Development ProgramAs a part of the Skill Development Programme, an industrial visit was organized for 4th and 6th semester Degree Engineering students on 9th January 2026 at the under-construction bridge site by RMC, Katariya Chokdi, Rajkot. During the visit, students learned about excavation work, bridge construction activities, and execution of underbridge work according to engineering drawings. The visit helped students develop practical skills related to site execution, construction planning, and interpretation of bridge drawings.
1/20/2026Expert LectureAn expert lecture was organized for 4th and 6th semester Degree Engineering students on 21st January 2026 on the topic “Career Guidance for Competitive Examinations” by Mr. Mukesh Rai from Acumen Gate Academy, Vadodara. The session provided guidance regarding preparation strategies, career opportunities, and exam patterns for competitive examinations such as GATE, GPSC, GWSSB, SSC JE, and RRB JE.

The session introduced students to the fundamentals of Artificial Intelligence, mental models, and the applications of local Large Language Models (LLMs) in modern technology and engineering fields.
4/17/2026Industriual visit An industrial visit was organized for 6th semester Degree Engineering students on 17th April 2026 at the Sewage Treatment Plant, RMC. During the visit, students learned about wastewater treatment processes, treatment units, and operation and maintenance practices followed in sewage treatment plants. The visit enhanced students’ practical understanding of environmental engineering concepts.
4/20/2026Industriual visit An industrial visit was organized for 4th and 6th semester Degree Engineering students on 20th April 2026 at the under-construction commercial project “Pushya Nakhtra” located at 150 Feet Ring Road, Near R.K. Prime, Nana Mauva Circle, Rajkot. The project includes showrooms and office spaces, where students observed ongoing construction activities, structural components, site execution methods, and safety practices followed in commercial building projects. The visit provided practical exposure to real-time construction management and execution techniques.
