The Chemical Engineering Department at V.V.P. Engineering College, Rajkot stands as a pioneer in the Saurashtra-Kutch region, committed to powering process industries through quality minds and strong moral values.
We maintain strong industry collaborations, notably as a NABL-accredited and GPCB-recognized Schedule-I Environment Auditor. The department has conducted in-house learning programs with Reliance Industries Limited and runs a faculty exchange programme with Nayara Energy Limited. Enriching activities like expert talks, industrial visits, alumni interactions, technical events, NSS, NCC, sprots activities, GATE guidance, MAT-GK sessions, research paper writing competition, mock interviews, and skill development programmes define our dynamic ecosystem.
Our distinguished faculty, representing a variety of geographical regions, proudly features gold medallists from prestigious institutions such as IIT-Kharagpur, Nirma University, and MS University. Our team includes highly experienced 10 dedicated faculty members (5 PhD holders, 3 pursuing), supported by 3 skilled technical staff managing 10 specialized laboratories — from Chemical Reaction Engineering to Environment Audit. A dedicated computer laboratory equipped with open-source tools and a perpetual ChemCAD simulation software license strengthens our technical foundation.
